Arvest Bank supported the YWCA’s 14th Annual Purple Sash Gala held at 6 p.m., June 17, at The Criterion in downtown Oklahoma City.

The elegant evening included dinner, live and silent auctions, and a New York-style fashion runway show.

During the event, victims of domestic violence or sexual assault shared their personal stories of escaping abuse and rebuilding their lives.

Arvest Bank supported the event by participating as a “Style Expert” sponsor with a corporate table and associates volunteered their time to the silent auction.

All proceeds from Purple Sash benefited the YWCA of Oklahoma City, the only certified shelter for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in Oklahoma County.

The YWCA of Oklahoma City is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice and dignity for all. According to the organization, nearly 3,000 women, children and men receive help through YWCA programs, including emergency shelter for battered women and children, counseling, support groups, child care, transitional housing, financial literacy and other services.
